The CCSE examination (Constitutional and Sociocultural Knowledge of Spain) is an assessment administered by the Instituto Cervantes and constitutes one of the mandatory requirements for completing an application for Spanish nationality by residence.
This examination evaluates applicants’ basic knowledge of the Spanish Constitution and of Spain’s social and cultural reality.
Structure of the Examination
The CCSE examination consists of five sections comprising a total of 25 multiple-choice questions, each with one correct answer. The examination has an approximate duration of 45 minutes.
In order to pass the examination, candidates must obtain at least 15 correct answers.
